$ZENO
A token with one job: paying for forecasting questions that are worth answering.
Checking forecasts costs money — data, compute and the work of building each question properly. $ZENO exists to fund that work in the open, with the rules published before anyone submits anything.

challenges
Published challenges
Each one has its question, outcome source and scoring rule locked before any funding is accepted.
No challenge is published yet. The first one appears here once its terms are frozen.
what the money is for
Challenge budgets, and payment for work that can be checked
A challenge budget is the reward pool on a published question. Contributor rewards pay for verifiable work — forecasts that score, data that fills a named gap, reproductions that confirm or refute a result. Never for holdings.

the first job
Sponsor a challenge
Fund the questions worth answering. Reward forecasting that can be checked. The programme is in development; when the first challenge is published, everything below will be decided and public before submissions open.
- question fixed→
- budget posted→
- submissions close→
- source read→
- rule scored→
- receipt published
Everything left of the receipt is fixed and public before submissions open. Settlement and payouts are done by hand and checked on-chain.
What each step means
1 · the question
A precise question or a named coverage gap, with its horizon and units fixed.
2 · the budget
The funding asset and the exact amount, visible before anyone submits.
3 · the deadline
The moment submissions close. Nothing submitted afterwards can score.
4 · the outcome source
The named source that will settle it, chosen in advance and not changeable later.
5 · the scoring rule
How submissions are scored and ranked, published with the question.
6 · the payout receipt
Who was paid, how much, in which asset, against which scored result.
Settlement is manual to begin with: the outcome is read from the named source, submissions are scored against the published rule, and the payout receipt is published alongside the result. Automating it is a later step, described here only once it runs.
the hard limit
Holding tokens buys nothing inside the arena
Holdings cannot buy a leaderboard position, cannot change how a forecast is scored, and cannot give any forecaster more weight in a model. Rankings come only from measured results under published rules. A sponsor can decide which question gets funded; a sponsor can never decide who wins it. Holdings never touch the model either: not its weights, its training data, its evidence, its finalist selection, or any training campaign, including v0.26.

Where the token lives
Solana is the main token. The Celo and Base addresses are recorded as bridged copies created through Wormhole — verify them against the linked explorers before treating them as authenticated counterparts.
